At this moment my kennel consists of five Norwich Terriers, Thijs (31-01-1996); Ruth (06-02-1999); Kelly (01-06-2001); Bob (24-09-2004) Maud ( 25-02-2006) and one Norfolk Terrier Luna (28-10-2004).

In 1995 I was at a show in Maastricht and there I saw a Norwich Terrier for the first time. It was love at first sight! The very next dog to come into my life was a Norwich and in 1996 Thijs arrived. At that moment I wasn't thinking of breeding and anyway, there were no bitches available. I took part in several shows with Thijs who is a goods example of the breed but generously built. He may not be a big winner but he is the apple of my eye and my shadow.

In 2000 I wanted to start breeding and acquired Ruth, a much smaller type and a real bitch. She was not very successful with her first litter and we lost the puppies. I then bought a black and tan pup, Kelly and have taken part in several shows with her. Her biggest win was BOB at the CAC-CACIB show in Rotterdam. It was my birthday too on that day so I that was a really nice birthday present.

I did a lot of learning about Norwich and grooming them at the grooming parlour Daria and their Kennel, 'van Darscharia', where they used to breed Norwich and Norfolk Terriers. Norfolks have their own ways too, they 'jodel' when someone comes into the house and I liked that. Of course the next thing was that one day I went home with a Norfolk Terrier. At that time I thought the only difference between the breeds was their ears and the Norfolk jodel but I have discovered that the Norfolk is much more a hunter by nature than the Norwich. If they see a duck they are into the water after it in no time. When Luna v/d Knibbelfarm ( Norfolk terrier) was for sale, she has come to join us. She is a real sweetie!

Thijs developed epilepsy at a fairly early age so I had to exclude him from my breeding programme and that is why Bob has come to join us. He is one half American breeding and the other half is Dutch/German.

Because I have only Kelly (Norwich terrier) for breed, I bought a new bitch, Wybar Mistress Maud she is a lovely dog.

For me Norwich and Norfolk are the only breeds that count
